Who can join London Adult Figure Skating Club?
LAFSC welcomes adult skaters of all levels. There is no minimum skating standard required to become a member.
I’m a complete beginner — can I still join?
Yes. Beginners are very welcome. If you are completely new to skating, we recommend starting with group lessons at one of the local rinks listed on our Links page.
How much does membership cost?
Annual membership costs £25 and runs from 31 January to 31 January each year.
How do I become a member?

What kinds of activities does the club offer?
LAFSC offers opportunities for adult skaters to take part in training camps, competitions, and social activities throughout the year.
Do I need to be an advanced skater to take part in club events?
No. Our events are intended to be inclusive, with opportunities for a range of skating levels, including beginners and more experienced skaters.

Where are club events held?
Many of our events take place in London and nearby areas, including Lee Valley Ice Centre. The venue will always be listed on each event page.
How do I register for an event?
Registration details are included on each event post or event page. Where applicable, there will be a registration link or form.
Can non-members take part in events?
This depends on the event. Some events may offer alternative or single-event membership options where stated in the event information.
Is the club affiliated with British Ice Skating?
Yes. The club is affiliated with the National Ice Skating Association, trading as British Ice Skating.
